Your files stay in your browser
This page describes what Shorts Lab does with video files, browser preferences, analytics, external fonts, and advertising technology.
Last updated: 5 November 2026
What this site processes
Shorts Lab is a public video-checking website. It does not ask visitors to sign in, create an account, or submit a contact form. The site owner has not enabled AdSense advertisements on this page at the time of this update.
Video files and local conversion
When you choose a video, your browser reads the file on your device to inspect its frames, dimensions, duration, bitrate, sound, and loop similarity. If the browser cannot play its format, the website's FFmpeg WebAssembly files are loaded from this site's public assets and the video is converted in your browser. The video file is not uploaded to the Shorts Lab application server by this checker, and the tool does not retain a copy after you leave or change the selection.
Your browser still makes ordinary network requests to load this website and its assets. Do not select a file on a device you do not control or share results that contain information you do not want others to see.
Browser storage, analytics, and fonts
The checker stores the selected platform in your browser's local storage under the key svc-platform, so that choice can be restored later. The checker code does not use that storage to save your video. You can clear this preference through your browser's site-data controls.
Manus site analytics are enabled for this project. The platform integration can use Umami and Plausible to measure page and device/referral trends; other platform or content-delivery-network operational analytics may also remain. These services may process technical request data such as page path, browser/device category, referral source, and approximate location, subject to the active provider configuration and their own policies. This page does not claim that all analytics or cookies are disabled.
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google's font service to retrieve those font files, so Google may receive ordinary connection and device information. For details, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising and personalized ads
AdSense ads are not currently active on this website. If the owner later enables Google AdSense, Google and other ad vendors configured for that account may use cookies or similar technologies to serve or measure advertisements, including ads based on a visitor's previous visits to this or other websites. Before ads are activated, this policy must be updated to identify the actual vendors and link to their notices and available opt-out controls.
Visitors can manage Google's personalized-ad settings at Google Ads Settings and can find additional opt-out choices at aboutads.info. Google's current publisher disclosure guidance is available in its AdSense required-content guide.
Consent requirement for personalized ads: Google requires publishers to use a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) before serving personalized ads to users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland. Before enabling any ads, the owner should also review Google’s broader consent policy and applicable local laws. No CMP is configured by this site yet. Read Google’s current publisher CMP requirements and the EU user consent policy.
Changes and contact details
This is an operational description, not jurisdiction-specific legal advice. The owner should review it against the real services used, the actual AdSense vendor list, and applicable local laws before enabling ads. It will be updated if the site's data flows or advertising partners change. No public privacy-contact email was supplied for this website; the owner should add a monitored contact method where required before applying for monetization.
