Terms of Use

Clear limits for a practical tool

These terms explain the intended use and limits of the Shorts Lab video checker.

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Using the checker

Shorts Lab is a browser-based technical review tool for short-form videos. You choose the platform profile and video, then review the estimate and editing suggestions. Use the site lawfully, keep access to the device and video you select, and do not use it to violate another person's rights.

Your video and your rights

Choose only files you own or are authorized to analyze. The checker processes selected video files in your browser; it does not publish your video or send it to a social platform. You remain responsible for music, footage, likenesses, captions, and other material in any video you later publish.

No platform endorsement or performance promise

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook names are used only to identify the checker profiles. Shorts Lab is an independent tool and is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by those platforms. Platform interfaces, specifications, recommendation systems, and policies can change.

The technical score and suggestions are informational heuristics, not professional advice or a promise of views, reach, monetization, account approval, or viral performance. The checker cannot evaluate a video's subject, audience fit, trends, creator history, or actual viewer retention. You decide whether to use any suggestion.

Availability and changes

The site is provided as available. Browser support, file codecs, network conditions, and device memory can affect a check. A conversion or analysis can fail, and the owner may update, suspend, or remove the tool or these terms. Check the Privacy Policy for data handling and analytics details.

Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you. These terms are a plain-language site notice, not legal advice.
